Stupid Theology Questions
When Jesus said Pilate would see him seated at the right of the Father, did he mean his right or our right?
It takes a smart eye feller to say, "I feller smart".

Stage right, of course.
Next question:
When I meet Jesus, I'm going to ask Him, "What is truth?"

Re: Stupid Theology Questions
I think Jesus said that to Caiaphas, the Jewish High Priest, as Jesus was being interrogated after His arrest. As to your question, it would be at the right hand of the Father

Re: Stupid Theology Questions
thanks. I was trying to thread that narrow path between edgy, ironic, and (as this thread requires) stoopid.
This question is almost -- but not quite -- nonsensical.
==============================================
I do have a topic for serious discussion from the gospels regarding the blindness of the Pharisees caused by their focus on Scripture. Some other day, perhaps.

Re: Stupid Theology Questions
We interrupt this Youth Room discussion to bring you the following important information.
As opposed to say, St Benedict, who taught that an Abbot can break his fast in order to dine with a stranger because welcoming the stranger is more important than (most) fasts. The Pharisees would turn away the hungry stranger, thinking they were pleasing God with their fasting.
And now, back to our regularly scheduled Youth Room discussion.
Del, you lovable galoot. Stop trying to imply that sola scriptura is Pharisaical. The Pharisees bindness was from their focus on the letter of the law and not it's intent.

Personally, I am a huge fan of the Pharisees. They were the best brand of Jews, at the time. They are the only surviving brand of Jews now.... all of the modern rabbinic traditions are descended from the Pharisees. All of the other Jewish sects are extinct.
The Sadducees, especially, were far more "sola scriptura" than the Pharisees ever were! That is why Jesus had many followers among the Pharisees, and none from the Sadducees. Christianity is founded on pharisaical Judaism. All of the "synagogues" were established by the Pharisees. Jesus went straight to the synagogue in every town he visited.... He was closest with the Pharisees, of all the Jewish sects. At the last, Jesus called Saul/St. Paul, the greatest living Pharisee, to be His greatest missionary Apostles.
So you gotta love the Pharisees.
