Ask for an International Pipe Smoking Day wreath.
What's that? Wife's wreath box pass you say?

Rita has the wreath gene. Off-season wreath storage is an even bigger pain than in-season display.

I like to add random objects to them and see how long it takes her to notice (and explode). Good clean fun.
LOL!

I may have to do that. That is the kind of thinkin' I'm looking for, here.

On a serious note, does she ever rework them for next year or do they just live in the garage until you can sneak them off to the dump?
She will rework them occasionally, but not often. The same wreath will get reused until it starts to look stressed, then total replacement is the goal. In fairness, she's more likely to terminate a wreath than I am. Most of them are tucked away in guest room closets where they don't interfere with me.

No matter how good the current stable looks, there's always room for more, though.

Wreath Acquisition Disorder is often accompanied by Fence Picket Character Delusions. Fortunately, this compulsion has faded in our home, but I still have the 6' Happy Fall Y'all dude and the 4' Easter Bunny occupying space in my garage.

Great Scott! I've not seen that before and hopefully she won't either.

Yep, we are wreathed-out, yet we just ordered two giant fresh wreaths from the Boy Scouts.

Every Christmas we buy a fresh wreath from the Boy Scouts. It's still nice after Christmas passes so it seems a shame to throw it out. By Valentine's day, though, the needles dry enough that they start falling off and it looks pretty poorly. So we have this odd little tradition that developed over the last dozen or so years where we dump it on February 14th. I'm not even sure how it came to pass, but we always look forward to Disposal Day.
