Gently Used Bicycle
I'm kind of tall at 6'3" so its hard to find one my size in a price I can afford. I just really need to lose weight.

Re: Gently Used Bicycle
Are there nicely paved bike trails where you live? I ask because in today's world, there is very little courtesy allowed bicyclists on the road. Here in AZ it's the law. A motorist must go all the way into the opposing lane when passing a bike, but only 10-20 % obey that law. If there is oncoming traffic most try to skirt by me within a couple feet and that really p-----ses me off. I even wear bright orange but it's like most drivers don't even see me. Luckily, there is usually very little traffic in this tiny town I live in.

What sort of bike do you hope to find?

If you're taking orders, I'd like a sixthreezero cruiser. Prefer the IntheBarrel model but would also accept the EVRYjourney. Three speed hub-shift preferred but again, would accept a seven speed. Flat black, with fenders, and a rack on the back. Cup holder option appreciated as well.

Keep your eye on Craigslist. At your height you should look for a bike with a frame in the 19-21 inch range. If you find something on Craigslist and need an opinion, ask away, I used to work at a bike shop.

Its all flat here so a fixed gear one with fat tires would work.

This is true. It is amazing some of the deals you can find on Craigslist for bikes and when you look, look for one with gears because even on flat roads a few help (they also help when you want to lose weight so you change gears to change your cadence without upping you speed much).
