Chicago “Guitar’esque”

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

I’m jealous.

I was in town working a trade show and a couple of us hopped over there one night. He wasn't playing but the guys who were were pretty danged good. Stopped to buy t-shirt on the way out and I asked the counter guy if Mr Guy was around to sign it. The guy nodded over my shoulder and I turned around and he was right behind me.

I saw an interview with Buddy Guy recently in which he said there's really no such thing as Chicago blues. He said it originated from a bunch of southern bluesmen that went north to try and make a living. It was more about geography than musical styling.
