Old Friend

Post by DAN » Sat Jul 14, 2018 8:51 pm

I have successfully made contact with a friend whom I lost track of thirty years or so ago, fool that I am, she was always a real doll. Turns out she spent twenty years as a nun and has been teaching at a local Catholic school for the last ten.

Wow. That's somethin' right there. Will you be able to meet up in person?

I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. Turns out she's also her parents' caregiver, so she's wicked busy. So am I. Complicating matters is the fact that for the sake of both our reputations, other people will have to be present. But I'm sure it'll happen.

Real doll? As in, "the one that got away" doll?

Oh, she would never have had anything to do with me romantically, and I knew it. She's just really sharp and really sweet.

Ya never can tell. People change over time.
