Savinelli Pipe and Filter Question

Post by ryland » Wed Sep 05, 2018 7:28 am

Do all Savinelli pipes designed for a filter come with the insert to make it a non-filter pipe?

I think so. I only own one Savinelli filter pipe - purchased it new, and it did come with the insert. It might have been in the little ziploc bag with the 5-6 filters that they included, if I recall correctly.

I can't imagine Savinelli not including it with the pipe.

I never paid attention until one Sav purchase dude behind the counter says, hey if you toss the filter stuff this tube support in there. Ok, I said.

I waited until I was out of eye sight before I tossed the plastic tube thing. I mean, no reason to be rude, right?

My first briar was a Savinelli 'second' or so I was told and I'm apt to believe it. The fella at the counter showed me the balsa wood filter it contained. I took it out when I got home. Never put it in since.
