Fainn, that made me tear up. I've been praying for you every day and I'm really proud of you.

Ok. No more sappy.

Straightforward. To the point. Truth.

The Christmas season is upon us. Although no one knows for sure when Jesus was born, it is an event worth celebrating.
For anyone who is interested in how we get Christmas on Dec. 25:

Early Christians remember the historical date of the Crucifixion was March 25. (We celebrate the Triduum in a way that follows the Jewish Passover around the calendar, but the actual anniversary date is March 25).

Also, there is an ancient Jewish traditional belief that a Prophet dies on the date that he was conceived.

So we celebrate the Annunciation on March 25.

And nine months later, we celebrate the Nativity of Christ on Dec. 25.

Also, Scripture says that the Angel Gabriel revealed to Mary that "Elizabeth is already in her sixth month." So we celebrate the Nativity of John the Baptist three months later, on June 24.
