Steak tips, scallops, and steamed broccoli. Cooked at home cost about $15 for me and the Mrs.

Re: What's for dinner?
Busy day in the kitchen.
My favorite butcher shop had fresh oysters for sale.
So Oyster Stew for lunch.
And crock of beefy Kiss Asterisk* Chili for dinner.
*Only has a couple of jalapeño peppers.
I gotta ask JimVH for some pointers on making Most Awesome Chili.

Re: What's for dinner?
I roasted a chicken yesterday and made some gravy from the giblets. (Giblets, that's a laugh; the package said "giblets may be in pieces". The only thing in the package was the neck. But it was good broth and I went with a darker roux than usual just for fun. Dang, it was good.) I said tellwidit to the low-carb and mashed up some po-ta-toes with butter and cream. Added some steamed broccoli and a good meal was had by all.

Smoked pork butt shredded for tacos (soft corn tortilla, guacamole, pico, shredded lettuce, onion, sour cream, homemade hot sauce, and cheddar cheese) and a Shiner's Holiday Cheer.

Re: What's for dinner?
Mrs. UB's homemade chili in a homemade bread bowl.

Tasty.
Disclaimer: Although it may look like Jared made or photographed this food, it looked appetizing in person. I don't have a fancy-pants camera like Goose55 or Skip. And even if I did, the photograph would make the food look bland and unappetizing. You know, like that U2 album that everyone was forced to get on iTunes a few years ago. Or Goose55 anytime.

Up until a few minutes ago, I always wanted to share a meal with Bob, too. That grapefruit made me worry, though.
