Shoulder

Post by Joshoowah » Sat Jun 08, 2019 9:12 pm

Well, I've avoided saying anything about this on here for a while, but I had a MRI done today on my left shoulder to determine whether or not I've torn my labrum.

I had surgery on my right shoulder two years ago for a torn labrum, and I am really hoping this is not the case for my left now. The rehab is long and recovery slow, not to mention painful and expensive. My left is not as bad as my right was, as I can function mostly normal; however, if it is even slightly torn nothing fixes a torn labrum except surgery.

I'm just hoping it's something completely different that can be fixed via rehab, no surgery. The look on my specialist's face when he examined me though did not suggest such. My wife is optimistic, but I've resigned myself to the worst.

A bit of prayer and support is needed, as I am tired of spending every little break we get dealing with health stuff. If it's not me and surgery, it's my wife.
"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose?" Philippians 1:21-22

I tore a rhomboid muscle in my shoulder blade area a few years ago and I want to tell you I was miserable. Impossible to sleep. It was some time before it healed on its own. So, I know a little bit of what you may be going through, Josh.

Prayers up for getting your shoulder right again.
