Cheap POY idea...

Post by JMG » Mon Oct 07, 2019 4:10 am

I don't love this pipe. However, I know price keeps some folks away on the POYs. I saw this one on ebay. If 20 or so or more are bought they are only 12 bucks a piece. Figure 8 bucks per pipe to have laser engraved, 5 bucks or so for shipping...and you'd have a briar POY for only $25.

I'm not advocating for this one out of personal preference, but I was pursuing the Bay last night and saw it.

Also, RoadTown pipes on eBay has a lot of pretty nice looking $45 pipes that come in all sort of styles. That might be a decent option as well.

I've bought my last few orders of briar from these guys. Thier briar is decent but I can't speak for the quality of their pipes. They look like a cheap basket pipe but if we want cheap this is a good find JMG. If there's enough interest I might even buy a few to see what they're like.

I'd get in on this one. Someone stamp or burn a pipe smoking fish on there and we are set.

Speaking of a man with superior taste in pipes (well some Christmas pipes aside), welcome to the discussion.

What would be the total shipped of a POY that most would find reasonable?

Good point. Do you think they'd add some red and green bling to them?
