Laptop Issue

Post by sweetandsour » Mon Oct 07, 2019 9:31 pm

This is a new issue, just started today when I turned on my laptop. There's a delay of about 3 secs from when I type and when the letter or whatever appears on the screen. It happens across all applications. I've been searching and trying various fixes all evening.
Whatever the problem is, happened sometime between the time I turned the computer off last week and when I turned it back on today.
I'm old but I'm happy. (Most of the time.)

No, afaict. Just the lag time when typing, regardless of application.

Cut the Scotch in half and see if that helps.

I removed the battery then put it back, and the problem appears to be fixed. But I still hear something rattling when I pick up the laptop and shake it.

Hmmm, shake it harder and get back to us.

Perhaps some plastic tab broke while you were accessing the battery? Maybe you could take the battery out again and see if whatever is loose in there will find it way out through that opening. If nothing else, shaking the s*** out of it will release some frustration.
