Greetings All, I will be having my third bladder surgery Friday the 26th and I would appreciate your prayers if you are so led. The surgery will be done through an incision this time rather than transurethrally as before, so recovery may take a little longer. Two to three weeks is the estimate. This procedure will be more aggressive than the others so I have a better chance of good, and I hope permanent, results. With all the covid stuff going on, I was required to get a screening done, which was negative, and self-quarantine this week prior to the surgery. So potentially I will be out of work for a month. Talk about being behind. I'll have to wear a catheter the first week so I'll pretty much be stuck in the house until I get rid of that. If you would pray that the surgery goes as planned and that the recovery goes as quickly as possible, I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks and God bless you all.
Praying this morning Steve

Thank you so much to all who prayed for me. My urologist made the comment that the procedure went way better than he expected. Right now, I'm flat on my back in my hospital room, listening to the air pump on my sequential stockings go on and off. Had a chicken caesar salad for supper with a piece of very hard garlic bread and some chocolate pudding (diet, of course). The meal was excellent.

I'll be wearing the catheter and bag for 10 days instead of a week. Yuk. But I'm just thankful that all went well.

Tomorrow morning I get to stand up and walk. The two may not go together at first, but I'm told that the sooner I get to where I can move around by myself, the sooner I can go home. And that, my friends, is the goal.

Again, thank you for your steadfast faithfulness as servants of the Living God.
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:6,7 ESV
