Beuatiful pipe. You will love the oil finish he does with his pipes. Gives a nice warm nutty flavor. Good choice!

This link will take you to the land of great and cheeeeeeeep pipes. Over 15 brands, and over 100 different styles.

I hope you find this helpful. It has been beneficial when I have been in states of severe PAD. (pipe acquisition disorder)

I do love this pipe. It smokes wonderfully and feels good in my hand. My only complaint is that it is a bit heavy. I like to "clench" and I can only go about 30 seconds or so comfortably with this.

Along that note, I'm already considering my next pipe (imagine that). Any suggestions for a small straight pipe? I've browsed around the various pipe sites, but have a difficult time finding "small" pipes.

I was intrigued too. That's why I asked Snede to give me some measurements, since the ad didn't really tell us anything.

You can thank Snede for finding this, next time he comes around!

I just bought it (along with a tin of Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake that I've been wanting to try).

I gotta stop spending so much time here. I'm going to go broke!

Don't worry... we all suffer from a little PAD/TAD remorse from time to time!

This purchase was my outlet since my motorcycle was in the shop and we finally hit 60 degrees here. Can't wait to ride!

I got this pipe yesterday and small is not the right word. It is TINY! (but I really like it :pipe2: ). This thing is smaller than the length of my hand and the bowl is so small I can barely fit my pinky finger into it. It smokes great, and don't be fooled by the comment about "coffee break, great for short-smoke" I'm still getting about 45 minute smokes out of this. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I've been getting about 45 min. out of it too. And I agree it is a nice little pipe but I don't really have much to compare it with. I'm new at this so I didn't feel I have enough experience to do a proper review. I have noticed however that it gets hot much easier than my Grabows I assume due to the lack of mass.

I was intrigued, but I don't think I want such a tiny pipe.

I have a lot that I need to compensate for.

This is an easy question - my first pipe, a rustic Aerosphere that I got off of eBay for $6. I love that little thing. It was an estate pipe and I'm sure I'll never get rid of it. I can still remember lighting it up for the first time - we were away for a weekend up in Rocky Mountain National Park with our best friends (Deadwhitetail and his wife). First time I ever lit up.

What's your favorite pipe for < $100

Well, I'll cheat a bit here and post two pipes. One which I have, and one I'm lusting after.

The one I have is a Peterson bent Bulldog style, but I swear I can't remember the model number.

Lusting for:
Peterson: Irishmade Army (69) Fishtail but with p-lip.

My Meer is my fave for under $100. It cost $35 during a March Madness sale several years ago. I've taken it just about everywhere with me.

Here's me smoking my Meer at Glacier Gorge backcountry site in Rocky Mountain National Park!!!

For around a $100 or so dollars new, I'd say a Peterson System pipe (pick your shape).

Stanwell Golden Danish - fantastic value ($65), and a classic looking pipe

Or for $30 more ...

Stanwell Trio Sandblast with a little bit of understated bling

I haven’t been impressed with inexpensive Petersons, but even the least expensive Stanwells I have are nicely engineered and good looking.

My Ben Wade(s) are my favorite less than $100 pipes. My favorite pipe of all costs abt $35, purchased from a cps brother. Unfortunately it has a broken bit, at the moment. I haven't sent it anywhere for repair because I hate the thought of replacing anything on it. I guess I need to go ahead and do it.

BTW, I wonder what Jflo looks like now, 8 years later.
