My neighbor's brother was visiting his sister. His family had just returned from a Caribbean cruise, where he had promised to look for some affordable Cubans for us. I paid him $212 for a box of 25 Partagas Serie D No. 4.

Cigars was impressed. "It's not every day that a box of Cubans comes knocking at the door!"

Turns out that a guy can buy these online for $199 + shipping = $225. So pretty awesome!

These aren't as rich as some Cubans I have enjoyed, but pretty darn good! I enjoy the lingering sweet virginia flavor.
That is the exact cigar I used to smoke in Spain all the time, it was my go to. I liked that it came in a tube because the storage wasn’t always ideal in those spanish tobac shops, so it was a safer bet.

It's also one of my favourite cigars!

Yesterday I got a H. Upmann Magnum 50. I'm looking forward to a delicious smoke, as I already know and love the Magnum 46.

Last night I smoked this little Esteban Carreras Chupa Cabra “Chupitas” 4x42. Paired with some Glenfiddich 12yr. Both were firsts for me. Normally Glenfiddich is a $50 bottle of Scotch where I live in North Carolina. I just got some at CVS in Oceanside, California, for $29.99 Image

It's funny how they heavily regulate and tax the hell out of about everything in California, but the free market still works for liquor sales.

My Father Le Bijou 1922 torpedo, with some Glenfiddich 12 yr. Smoking it now, and while I am enjoying it, I still prefer My Father's Flor de las Antillas. Image

Ugly for Purdue.

Ringing in the new year with a Flor de Las Antillas robusto by My Father. Every cigar I smoke ends up being compared to this. I think I'm pretty much done with experimentation with various cigars. As I only dabble in cigars, I think this is clearly my go-to. Unlike pipe tobacco, I don't feel much desire to try a ton of different stuff when this stick provides everything I want in the experience of smoking a cigar.
